Who is this program designed for?
This program is designed for all attorneys that encounter insurance coverage issues from the new attorney to the advanced coverage attorney. This program provides both a fundamental overview of defense obligations as well as an advanced exploration of the theories behind the policy construction. This program provides an analysis of case law addressing the defense obligation and only requires a basic understanding of general insurance concepts. This program is designed for both the new attorney as well as the advanced insurance coverage attorney.
What subjects are covered?
This program explores the duty of the insurer to defend the insured. It examines the trigger of the duty and introduces the concept of the declaratory judgment action. Case law from multiple jurisdictions is explored in order to explain how the duty to defend has been explored by other jurisdictions. |
