Michael Alkaraki is a trial attorney at Leahy & Hoste, where he represents victims and their families in matters of serious personal injury, medical malpractice and wrongful death. Mr. Alkaraki has successfully resolved a number product liability claims on behalf of his clients, including a recent $1,500,000 settlement secured for a seventy-one year old woman whose prosthetic hip implant fractured after 3 ½ years of use. He has been published in the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin and the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association’s Trial Journal and is a regular speaker on topics related to his practice areas. An active member of the bar and community, Mr. Alkaraki serves on the Illinois State Bar Association’s Assembly, the Chicago Bar Association’s Judicial Evaluation Committee and as an auxiliary board member of Opportunity Knocks, a local not-for-profit entity addressing the needs of the adult developmentally disabled population. Mr. Alkaraki received his undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Saint Joseph’s College and his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
