Gary Flanagan

Gary’s practice focuses on business litigation including employment and labor law and construction law. Gary brings extensive experience in litigation to LMKBW. For over seven years, Gary served as outside trial and appellate attorney for FleetBoston Financial Corporation and Bank of America with Edwards & Angell, LLP in Providence, Rhode Island and Fisher & Phillips, LLP in Chicago, Illinois. He also represented CVS Corporation and PNC Bank in New England, New Jersey and Florida. Upon graduation from Florida State University College of Law in 1993 and an internship with the Florida Supreme Court in Tallahassee, Gary began his career in litigation at Cooper & Clough, P.C. in Denver, Colorado. There his work involved extensive trial and appellate court experience. Gary has been the lead attorney in a number of trial and appellate court cases throughout the United States, including an ERISA case of first impression and an employee handbook/implied contract case that received national attention when featured on CBS News “The Early Show.” Gary earned his Master of Laws in Labor & Employment Law from New York University School of Law in 2000 where he received the Seymour Goldstein Memorial Prize for Academic Excellence in the Study of Labor Relations. He also received the International Association of Defense Counsel legal writing award for his published article: Expanded Grounds for Judicial Review of Employment Arbitration Awards, 67 Defense Counsel Journal 488 (2000).
