Georgia Continuing Legal Education Requirements

Reporting Method: Sponsor Reporting

Compliance Period: Two-Year Cycle

Reporting Process: ApexCLE reports attendance directly to the State Bar of Georgia Commission on Continuing Lawyer Competency (CCLC). Attorneys should verify that all reported credits appear on their CLE transcript. 

Compliance Deadline: December 31 of the reporting period. 

Reporting Deadline: January 31 following the compliance deadline. 

Total Credits Required: 18 credit hours every two years. 

Specialty Credit Requirements:
  •  3 hours of Ethics 
  •  2 hours of Professionalism 
Maximum Online Credits: 18 credit hours. All required CLE credits may be completed through approved in-person or distance-learning programs. 

Carryover Credit: Up to 18 general CLE credits, 3 Ethics credits, and 2 Professionalism credits may be carried forward to the next reporting period.
