Missouri Continuing Legal Education Requirements

Reporting Method: Self-Reporting

Compliance Period: Annual

Reporting Process: Attorneys must certify their MCLE compliance by filing an Annual Report of Compliance through The Missouri Bar's online MCLE reporting system. 

Compliance Deadline: June 30

Reporting Deadline: July 31 

Total Credits Required: 15 credit hours annually.

Specialty Credit Requirements:
  •  2 hours of Professionalism, Ethics, Substance Abuse and Mental Health, or Malpractice Prevention 
  •  1 additional hour of Elimination of Bias (included within the 15 required credits) 
Maximum Online Credits: Up to 6 credit hours may be completed through approved self-study or on-demand courses. At least 9 credit hours must be completed through live or interactive programs. Ethics and Elimination of Bias requirements must be satisfied through live or interactive programs. 

Carryover Credit: Up to 15 excess live CLE credits, up to 3 Ethics credits, and up to 1 Elimination of Bias credit may be carried forward to the next reporting period. Self-study credits do not qualify for carryover.
