Reporting Method: Self-Reporting
Compliance Period: Three-Year Cycle
Reporting Process: Attorneys must certify their MCLE compliance through the North Dakota State Board of Continuing Legal Education's online reporting system.
Compliance Deadline: June 30 of the attorney's reporting year.
Reporting Deadline: July 31 following the compliance deadline.
Total Credits Required: 45 credit hours every three years.
Specialty Credit Requirements: 3 hours of Ethics.
Maximum Online Credits: 45 credit hours. All required CLE credits may be completed through approved online, on-demand, or distance-learning courses.
Carryover Credit: Up to 15 general CLE credits and up to 3 Ethics credits may be carried forward to the next reporting period.
Record Retention: Attorneys should retain certificates of completion and supporting CLE documentation in accordance with North Dakota State Board of Continuing Legal Education requirements.
