Reporting Method: Self-Reporting
Compliance Period: Three-Year Cycle
Reporting Process: Attorneys must report their MCLE compliance through the Washington State Bar Association (WSBA) MCLE reporting system.
Compliance Deadline: December 31 of the attorney's reporting year.
Reporting Deadline: February 1 following the compliance deadline.
Total Credits Required: 45 credit hours every three years.
Specialty Credit Requirements:+
- 6 hours of Ethics
- 1 hour of Equity, Inclusion, and the Mitigation of Bias
- 15 hours of Law and Legal Procedure
Maximum Online Credits: 45 credit hours. All required CLE credits may be completed through approved online courses.
Carryover Credit: Up to 15 general CLE credits and up to 2 Ethics credits may be carried forward to the next reporting period.
Record Retention: Attorneys should retain certificates of completion and supporting CLE documentation in accordance with Washington State Bar Association requirements.
