Description

In 2025, several Executive Orders (EOs) issued by the Trump Administration have reshaped the legal and compliance environment for federal contractors and private employers. These EOs orders primarily address diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), affirmative action, and disparate impact analysis. This course will discuss how employers should carefully audit employee handbooks and related legal compliance policies to align with new federal requirements while maintaining compliance with nondiscrimination laws. The Employee Updates and CROWN Act will provide an overview of current diversity equity and inclusion policies, how to update employee handbooks, and the CROWN act passed in 25 states. The CROWN Act prohibits hair texture discrimination in the workplace and schools.
