Compliance Period: Annual
Reporting Process: ApexCLE reports attendance directly to the Louisiana State Bar Association (LSBA) Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Department. Attorneys should review their MCLE transcript and ensure all completed credits have been reported.
Compliance Deadline: December 31
Reporting Deadline: January 31
Total Credits Required: 12.5 credit hours annually.
Specialty Credit Requirements:
- 1 hour of Ethics
- 1 hour of Professionalism
Maximum Online Credits: 4 credit hours may be completed through approved computer-based CLE. At least 8.5 credit hours must be completed through in-person programs.
Carryover Credit: Up to 8 general CLE credits may be carried forward to the next reporting period. Ethics and Professionalism credits may not be carried forward to satisfy those specialty requirements.
Attendance Reporting: ApexCLE reports attendance directly to the Louisiana State Bar Association MCLE Department. Attorneys should verify that all reported credits appear on their MCLE transcript.
