Nebraska Continuing Legal Education Requirements

Reporting Method: Self-Reporting

Compliance Period: Annual

Reporting Process: Attorneys must certify their MCLE compliance through the Nebraska Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Commission's online reporting system.

Compliance Deadline: December 31

Reporting Deadline: January 20

Total Credits Required: 10 credit hours annually.

Specialty Credit Requirements: 2 hours of Professional Responsibility.

Maximum Online Credits: 5 credit hours may be completed through approved distance learning. At least 5 credit hours must be completed through live, interactive, or in-person programs.

Carryover Credit: Up to 5 general CLE credits and up to 2 Professional Responsibility credits may be carried forward to the next reporting period.

Record Retention: Attorneys should retain certificates of completion and supporting CLE documentation in accordance with Nebraska Mandatory Continuing Legal Education Commission requirements.
