Oregon Continuing Legal Education Requirements

Oregon CLE Deadline: December 31

Total CLE hours required: 45 hours over 3 years

Online CLE self-study hours allowed: 45 hours

Oregon CLE professionalism/ethics requirements: 5 hours of ethics, 1 hour on lawyers’ statutory duty to report elder or child abuse, and either 1 hour in mental health, substance use or cognitive impairment that can affect a lawyer's ability to practice law. In alternate reporting periods, at least 3 additional hours must be in programs accredited for access to justice (elimination of bias) under Rule 5.14(c) that can be completed through self-study online


Oregon CLE Reporting Requirements

In Oregon, CLE Providers are required to report their CLE credits to the state CLE Board. ApexCLE usually reports attorney credit approximately each week or in compliance with the State CLE Board requirements.
