Reporting Method: Self-Reporting
Compliance Period: Three-Year Cycle
Reporting Process: Attorneys must certify their MCLE compliance through the Oregon State Bar's online MCLE reporting system.
Compliance Deadline: April 30 of the attorney's reporting year.
Reporting Deadline: May 31 following the compliance deadline.
Total Credits Required: 45 credit hours every three years.
Specialty Credit Requirements:
- 5 hours of Legal Ethics
- 3 hours of Access to Justice (required every other reporting period)
- 1 hour of Child and Elder Abuse Reporting
- 1 hour of Mental Health and Substance Use Education
Maximum Online Credits: 45 credit hours. All required CLE credits may be completed through approved online, on-demand, live webcast, or distance-learning courses.
Carryover Credit: Up to 15 excess CLE credits may be carried forward to the next reporting period. Up to 6 Ethics credits may be applied toward the next reporting period's Ethics requirement. Access to Justice and Child and Elder Abuse Reporting credits may only carry over as general credit.
